Pomeroy Public Library

Welcome to the new website for Pomeroy Public Library. The library is your one-stop source for all your informational needs. We have a large selection of books, magazines, newspapers, and electronic resources available to be checked out by our library card holders. Here you will also find our online catalog, electronic resources, news, other announcements, and a calendar of upcoming library events! We have added a link to Libby/Bridges, where you can read eBook and audiobook content online or download for use on portable devices like Kindles or tablets.

Our latest news will show up in a short bulleted listing here, with more details found in the various categories on our website.

  • We are excited to introduce to you our new Library Director, Yvette Crotty! Yvette comes to us from Pocahontas Iowa.  Yvette loves to take nature photos and make greeting cards as well as spend a-lot of time outdoors on trails and in nature from fishing to hikes and photography. Yvette is excited to have this opportunity to reach out further from being a library assistant to the director to help even more in the community with needs of our patrons and the library functions.  Yvette looks forward to serving you here at the Pomeroy Public Library.
  • Our monthly newsletter Between the Bookends is published several times throughout the year in the Calhoun County Journal-Herald. It can also now be accessed on our website by clicking on the "Between the Bookends" tab under "About" in the top header.
  • We now have links to Iowa Works and BrainFuse. Both sites have information to help with job searches and creating resumes. BrainFuse is also a great link to a number of homework helps and tutoring opportunities for students of all ages and can be accessed at the library or at home once you register online.
