Library News February 27, 2019

Over a hundred library patrons made guesses of how many Valentine candies were in the jar the past few weeks at the library and we're excited to announce that the adult winner was Coral Jaeschke and the child winner was Jenna Johnson. Prizes may be picked up at the library.

Wednesday coffee at the library this past couple of weeks was enjoyed by over 20 adults. Ruth Jesse shared diabetic cookies, cheese, crackers and sausage  and Carol Seehusen shared a delicious chocolate cake made with pumpkin and applesauce. We thank them for their generosity.

We have several new books ready for check out that include the following new inspirational titles; A Faithful Gathering by Leslie Gould, Searching for You by Jody Hedlund- the third book in the orphan train series, Code of Valor by Lynette Eason and Secrets at Cedar Cabin by Colleen Coble.  Out of the Maze by Spencer Johnson, M.D., is now available along with Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, The Lost Girls of Paris- author of the Orphan's Tale by Pam Jenoff and The Fall of Gondolin by J.R.R.Tolkien This book is one of the original lost tales which formed the basis for a section of his later work. New young adult titles include The Wicked King by Holly Black, The Labyrinth of the Spirits by Carlos Ruiz Zafron and Slayer by Kiersten White.
